Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

Glory to our almighty God in the Highest! He is worthy of all worship, praise and adoration and I exalt him in the name of his son Jesus Christ, who sits at his right hand in Heaven for his great mercy towards us.

I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in 2003 and not long after that I was also told I had fibroids in my womb. I was told that both conditions on their own could cause infertility and combined, would even increase the risk of infertility. Having suffered extreme symptoms from both conditions, I had been under the care of a gynaecologist and had been prescribed a lot of medication. In 2008, when I and my husband started trying for a baby, we were advised to start taking fertility medication. However, I believed that the Lord would do something miraculous and refused to take the medication. At the 2008 Daughters of Destiny Sunday service, I joined other women believing God for the fruit of the womb. Although I did not come out, I believed where I was that the power of God would touch me. After the service Reverend Tina and Evangelist Eucharia both prayed for me and I conceived before the end of that month (September). I was blessed with a baby girl in April 2009. Though she came earlier than expected, she survived all odds.
